Did you know that you can increase website traffic in Google and in other search engines by simply adding Amazon Native Shopping Ads to your posts? If you feel confused with this, no worry, just keep reading.
What are Amazon Native Shopping Ads
When you become an affiliate with Amazon, you can use several ways they offer to earn the commission. So, Native Ads are one very simple way. You put the code and the block of ads is then maintained by Amazon. Set and forget in the best possible sense.
I have been using Native Ads for quite some time now. I started it, and later I wrote a training about Native Ads at Wealthy Affiliate (WA) platform where I host my sites. About the Wealthy Affiliate, you can see more in my review. So my training is used by the WA members; if you follow the link you might see it and comments I received there. So this is my own first-hand experience as always, I write about things I try myself.
How Amazon Native Ads increase traffic
Now, this is something you probably have not been aware of. But I am going to show you an example below, see the story.
Recently, I noticed one item on Amazon which looked interesting. Its full name on Amazon is Kingcamp Ultralight Compact Folding Camping Tent Cot, the name is not so important for you, but it is relevant to the story.
So, I copied it and searched on Google to see some more information about it. I was surprised when I saw my own site ranked on the top page in Google for this same long phrase, see the screenshot:
I should stress that I did this search incognito, so this is a true ranking, nothing affected by my own browser. If you are not familiar with this terminology, I would suggest having a look in my another training at Wealthy Affiliate, it is entitled How to check your page ranking in Google.
So, as you see, this is the first page of Google. The actual Native Shopping Ads block from the bottom of one of my posts is shown below, with eight blocks in total:
In fact, you can follow this link and check it directly on my site. Just bear in mind, that this block of Ads is maintained by Amazon, so the content may be different. But it can only be improved, they show what sells well. The mentioned cot is in the list of bestsellers among cots and you can see it here (note, this is so at the moment of writing this text, in June 2017, so it may not be there when you check).
So you see the point, I have my site on the top page in Google for a bestselling item which is added by Amazon. I did not do anything myself after creating a Native Shopping Ad long ago. There are 7 more items in the Ad block, did not check their eventual ranking, but this is not essential for this text.
All items change in time and, as you see, with some of them my site becomes top-ranked. Being on the top page in Google is a must, this is how you get traffic to your site, and this is how you eventually generate an income.
There are many ways of building website traffic but in this case, observe that this is a good website traffic; people are visiting your actual post by following some of your keywords, and you add an Amazon Native Ad block which is relevant to the text. See in the image above, the Ad search word is backpacking cots. If you go to my site, you will realize that my post title was best backpacking cot in 2017. So visitors who came to the site through my original keyword will likely be interested in what the Ads block shows, I might get some clicks and sales.
The same is if visitors come to my site through the keyword which is shown in the first screenshot above, the keyword that is in the Native Ads. This will also increase website traffic, remember the first image above, I am top ranked for it, and I might get sales as well. Not bad at all.
